This research shows when and where chain stores opened and the order of openings in a specific area, I discovered that their success in the said area had to do with their distinguished partitioning strategy of selecting new store locations, which is related to the Voronoi diagram.

I analysed the opening strategy of a popular convenience store chain, 'Seven Eleven', which was a North American enterprise originally but has achieved great success in Japan as well. Through my independent research of when and where chain stores opened and the order of openings in a specific area, I discovered that their success in the said area had to do with their distinguished partitioning strategy of selecting new store locations, which is related to the Voronoi diagram. The piece is completed connecting this analysis to the population change of the area and yearly numbers of openings.
